Bunker Hill Mining focused on re-opening the Bunker Hill zinc, lead, silver mine
March 21, 2018 –  "If you are looking for gold you go look for it where you found gold. If you are looking for zinc, apparently you go look for it in Idaho." starts Peter Clausi of InvestorIntel in an interview with Howard Crosby, Vice President of Bunker Hill Mining Corp. (CSE: BNKR). Peter Clausi: If you are looking for gold you go look for it where you found gold. If you are looking for zinc, apparently you go look for it in Idaho.  Howard Crosby: That is a good place to start, at least in the Idaho Silver Valley, the Silver Valley Belt in north Idaho and Shoshone County. Peter Clausi: We are here with Bunker Hill, listed on the CSE. You are taking over an advanced deposit that was in production and bringing it back into production.  Howard Crosby: Right. The Bunker Hill Mine was really the crown jewel of the Coeur d’Alene Mining District, historically produced continuously for over 90 years from 1885 to 1981. During that period of time the mine produced 36 million tons of ore from 26 different ore bodies, 3½ million tons of lead. Peter Clausi: Was that one big system or is it different systems? Howard Crosby: It is a gigantic system. There is actually four different types of ore bodies that were mined in there, but we are going to be focused now in redeveloping the mine on some very high-grade wide mechanized mining zones that are high in zinc that also contain by product lead and silver. Peter Clausi: What kind of infrastructure is available? Howard Crosby: It is the most interesting infrastructure really of any mining project I have ever seen because it is located in the town of Kellogg, Idaho. You can drive to the portal of the mine in a Cadillac and never leave paved road. All the buildings, the mine offices and the workshop for machinery and everything is all intact. There is powerlines right to the mine. There is a workforce in town, a train, mining workforce and you are 500 meters off of Interstate 90. Peter Clausi: How did you end up with the project? Howard Crosby: We have signed a lease-purchase option from the underlying owner that acquired the property when the Bunker Hill Company went through a bankruptcy related to the catastrophe at the lead smelter back in the eighties. We have an iron clad lease-purchase option project at this point. Peter Clausi: Okay. I do not understand lease-purchase option. What does that mean? Howard Crosby: We are currently leasing the mine. We are making lease payments to the underlying owner and we have an ironclad option to acquire the mine for a purchase price of $25 million dollars that would be paid out over 10 years. Peter Clausi: That is not bad. Howard Crosby: The majority of the purchase price we expect would be paid out of cash flow Peter Clausi: Out of production at the mine. Howard Crosby: Through production, yeah. Peter Clausi: What is your timetable? Howard Crosby: That is an interesting question Peter. There is a couple of answers to that. Peter Clausi: There always are. Howard Crosby: The short answer would be we are negotiating with some other mills in the area because the project currently does not have a mill on site. There are mills with excess capacity within 5 miles of the mine...to access the complete interview, click here Disclaimer: Bunker Hill Mining Corp. is an advertorial member of InvestorIntel Corp.

Gunsite (Gunsight) Mine Exploration - Tecopa, California
This video describes our examination on 4-12- 2018 of the Gunsite lead/silver mine near Tecopa, CA. The mine dates back to the 1870's and has an interesting history. There have been three boom periods for the mining business in the Tecopa area and the town of Tecopa has moved a few times in response to the boom cycles. The first boom is known as the Osborne period 1874-1881 The second boom is known as the Tecopa Consolidated Mining period (TCM) 1906-1928 The third boom is the Shoshone Mines Inc., Finley Co., and Anaconda Copper Mining Co. 1940-1957 First boom: In 1875 the Brown brothers, William and Robert, discovered silver lead ore in the southern Nopah mountain range, which lead to the start of the Balance mine. They organized a mining district named Brown's Treasure which later changed to Resting Springs. The Brown's sold an interest in the Balance mine to George Hearst, an entrepreneur and father of famed newspaper man William Randolph Hearst, among other San Francisco financiers, and formed the Balance Consolidated Gold and Silver Mining Co. (BCG&SMC) They started development of the mine in the fall which led to the start of the Resting Spring Mining District. The BCG&SMC started a town named Brownsville, in honor of the brothers, located at the beginning of China Ranch wash. In late 1875 Jonas P. Osborne, a superintendent of a mining company in Eureka, Nevada, bought an interest in several of the Brown brothers claims, and moved to Brownsville. He worked on ideas to reduce ore shipping costs by trying to concentrate the ore with a large scale smelter near the mines. To build the smelter he needed financial backing, which he obtained from several people, after Hearst refused to back him. They formed the Los Angles Mining and Smelting Co. (LAM&SC). Osborne then bought the BCG&SMC mines, the Noonday and four other mines directly from the Brown's. He then sold them to LAM&SC in exchange for half the company's stock and a position as mine superintendent. LAM&SC bought several mines in the area, including the Gunsite (Gunsight), from other miners who had claims in the area. This led to an influx of about 400 men to Brownsville. In September of 1876 Osborne bought Brownsville from the Brown's for $100 and started selling lots for $75 each and changed the name to Tecopa. The name Tecopa comes from the name of the local Southern Paiute "chief" Tecopa. By January of 1878 the smelter was up and running and by August Tecopa had a population of about 200. During 1878 Osborne's smelter proved to be a failure due to the number of men needed to operate it (40), many needed repairs, the need to haul wood and convert it to charcoal and an insufficient water supply. In late 1878 he gave up on the smelter. He then convinced LAM&SC to invest in a new device, the Davis Pulverizer, which was a rotary mill, and set it up near Resting Spring. Resting Spring had been a water and rest stop on the Old Spanish Trail since 1829. Here, Osborne once again, plotted out a new town site and sold lots. By February 1879 building was on going at Resting Spring and Tecopa had nearly been abandoned. Ore was being brought from the Noonday and Gunsite mines to the pulverizer in Resting Springs. This became the second location for Tecopa. After a new freight route, from Mojave around southern Death Valley and on to Resting Spring, made by freighter Remi Nadeau, the pulverizer became less viable and failed. After the failure of the pulverizer Osborne built a 10-stamp mill a couple miles south and downhill from Resting Spring. Ore from the Gunsite was milled here and water was piped from Resting Spring. The mill turned out to be too inefficient to be profitable and couldn't pay for it's operating costs along with the cost of mining. After the mill failed to make concentrating the ore and there by reducing the shipping costs profitable, Osborne decided to make moving ore from the Gunsite to the mill more efficient. He spent a lot of money digging a 600 foot long adit, on the 300 foot level, to eliminate the need to lift the ore that was then loaded on mule teams that hauled the ore down the mountain on switch backs. He later built a tram around the corner of the mountain from the adit to haul the ore down the mountain and replace the mule teams. By 1880 Osborne sold off his stock and resigned. In July 1881 the stockholders refused to pay another stock assessment and LAM&SC closed. The Gunsite had produced $260,000 of bullion but it was not enough to cover operating expenses. The TCM period, The Shoshone Mines Inc., Finley Co., and Anaconda Copper Mining Co. period are also interesting and I encourage you to research them if you like. This is the limit YouTube allows for a video description.

Canamex Resources (CSQ): Making Major Discovery In Nevada
http://goldstocktrades.com/blog Canamex Resources (CSQ.V or CNMXF) controls the Bruner Gold Project in mining friendly Nye County, Nevada where they are making a major new gold discovery. The project is extremely well located in an area of multi-million ounce deposits near the famous Round Mountain Mine two hours southeast of Reno. Canamex has made some very positive discoveries recently at the project. The company is demonstrating that there are high grade feeder zones on the property that could be used as a starter pit. Canamex continues to hit amazing results on a consistent basis and is attracting the attention of major gold producers such as Hecla who came on as a significant shareholder after months of research and due diligence on the asset. Hecla owns about 10% of this company and is represented on the Corporate and Technical Board. This investment of capital and technical expertise came after six months of due diligence and analysis. Hecla bought shares more than 100% higher than where they are today. Over the past month Canamex has released some awesome holes from both the historic resource area and the new discovery at Penelas East. In the historic area they hit 57.9 meters of over 5 grams/ton. In addition, The Penelas East Target is one of the seven target areas on the property and the technical team has hit on 38 out of 44 drill holes with some of the best results being over 100m of 4+ gram grade. They just released results of 79.9 meters of 1.5 grams per ton. In a regular resource market these results would get the market very excited. More importantly, the metallurgical studies of both the historical resource area and Penelas East show that this could be a lower capital intensive asset. These geological and metallurgical results warrant further funding in 2014 as this could be the type of asset an emerging major like Hecla would want to own 100%. Disclosure: Author/Interviewer Owns Canamex and the company is a sponsor on website.

Tybo, Nye County
The first major silver-lead ore was discovered in the Hot Creek Range by Dr. Galley and M. V. Gillett in 1870. This discovery was developed into the Two-G mine. It was not until 1874 that the small camp began to form in Tybo Canyon. The name Tybo derived from the Shoshone meaning "white man's district." A small lead smelter was built and in the next year the Tybo Consolidated Mining Company formed. Thompson Creek Mine
The Thompson Creek molybdenum mine, owned and operated by the Thompson Creek Mining Company (TCMC), is 20 miles southwest of Challis, Idaho. The mine is the fourth largest primary molybdenum mine in the world, producing approximately 5 percent (up to 15 percent in the past) of the world molybdenum supply. TCMC is the largest employer in Custer County, with approximately 375 employees. Typically, the mine accounts for one out of every five jobs in Custer County, 45 percent of wages and salaries in Custer County, and $114 million of Idaho's total personal income. Most of the molybdenum produced from the mine is used as an alloy to make high-strength and corrosion-resistant steel. The mine has been in operation since 1981 and is permitted for approximately 3,400 acres of surface disturbance, of which approximately 2,300 acres are on private land and approximately 1,100 acres are on BLM administered and National Forest System lands

Abandoned Farm - Creepy! Moody Creek
This is a video created from photos while exploring an abandoned farm in Moody Creek Idaho. The area had to be accessed by walking through a field and down a hill, and is not visible from the nearby gravel road. There are several buildings which have been abandoned since around 1945. A friend told me his grandmother used to cook for the farmhands in one of the buildings. There are two sleeping quarters, a kitchen with a table and a bathtub. Other buildings include a large tool shed (full of rusting tools) as well as a well house. ================================================ Follow me on social media: Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/moonstruckexploring Twitter: https://twitter.com/MSExploring Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/moonstruckexploring/ =============================================== Official Urbex Gear: http://www.cafepress.com/urbanexplorergear Music: Little Planet - Bensound.com Help me to buy new camera equipment so I can make even better videos! Grantsville, Nye County, Nevada
P.A. Havens, known already for his discoveries at Ione, found gold here in 1863. A town and mining district, named after Ulysses S. Grant, was established shortly thereafter. Havens's claims played out quickly, and Grantsville became a ghost for the next decade. In September 1877, the Alexander Company came to Grantsville and the camp was reborn. A twenty-stamp mill was built and started operation in November 1878; it was enlarged to 40 stamps three years later. By the end of 1878, Grantsville had several businesses and a population of nearly 1,000. A newspaper, the Grantsville Sun, was published by D.L. Sayre from October 19, 1878 until June 1879. It was succeeded by Andrew Maute and Samuel Donald's Grantsville Bonanza from December 11, 1880 until 1884. Grantsville's first post office opened in 1879 with George Healy as postmaster. By the 1880s, three stage lines (to Eureka, Wadsworth, and Austin) were established and Grantsville was home to over forty businesses and a brick school erected by the Odd Fellows. Fourteen major mines were in operation at this time, the chief producer being the Alexander. The town started to fade after November 1880 when the Alexander Company was forced to stop operations after producing $1.25 million. Manuel San Pedro resigned as superintendent in 1881 to focus on his interests in Gold Park. By 1884, only 400 people remained in Grantsville, and the population dropped to 50 by 1886. John Phillips ran the old Alexander mill on tailings from the Alexander and Brooklyn mines. In June 1888, the Alexander property was purchased by the Hornsilver Mining Company. The company operated the claims until 1897 when it folded after its superintendent's death. Throughout the end of the 1800s and up until the end of the 1920s, Grantsville experienced several small revivals. The two most notable were from 1916-18, and 1921-23 when the Webster Mines Corporation bought and renamed the Alexander mine and mill. The mill was remodeled in 1927, but operation ceased in 1928. In 1939, a fifty-ton flotation mill was built at the Silver Palace mines and lasted until 1940. Grantsville's final activity was from 1945 until 1947, when the Alexander and Brooklyn Mines Company reworked mines and produced $50,000 worth of lead for the war effort.

Gold Nuggets and specimens from the Round Mountain Gold Mine in Nye county, Nevada
http://www.goldrushnuggets.com We just got in this amazing collection of gold specimens from the Round Mountain Mine in Nevada. Gold from Round Mountain is highly collectable and produces amazing gold specimens unlike anywhere else. It is a HUGE open pit mine (google some pictures of the mine, it is quite a feat of human engineering). We will be listing a few of these on our website in the coming weeks. If you are looking for cheap gold by the gram, these aren't for you... these are highly collectable gold specimens that would be a great addition to any mineral collection. Just for size reference, the specimens in this video range from less than a gram to about 2/3 of a troy ounce on the larger gold/quartz pieces. A few of these are just TOO fragile to ship, (like the large specimen that looks like a porcupine) so they will probably stay in my personal collection for a while, but many of them will get added to our website soon. Check us out at www.goldrushnuggets.com. In addition to these Round Mountain specimens, we carry a large selection of gold nuggets from around the western US, Alaska, Australia, etc., and we always nave a nice selection of gold/quartz specimens as well. Hope you enjoyed to video.

Exploring The Ibex Spring Ghost Camp Of Death Valley and Inside The Talc Mine Tunnels
This video describes the Ibex Spring area in Death Valley National Park, the way it was on 3-21-2018. This area is in the southern half of the Ibex Hills near the southern end of the Black Mountains. We drove south, from the the main junction in Shoshone, on Hwy #127 for 16.5 miles to the unmarked dirt Ibex Spring Road. We drove west on Ibex Spring Road for 2.8 miles where we took a right at a fork in the road. After a short distance there is a deep wash that we chose not to cross so we parked and walked about 2 miles to the Ibex Spring area. The walk is easy with scenic views of the Ibex Hills, Saddle Peak Hills and the Ibex Dunes. In the mid 1930's John Moorehouse located 16 claims in the area around Ibex Spring. He worked them for a few years before leasing the Pleasanton and Moorehouse mines to the Sierra Talc Company. Over the next few years The Sierra Talc Co. developed the mines using a crew that lived in the camp by the spring. Once we were at the spring we explored the remains of the miners camp where there are several cabins that were used during the 1940's and 1950's. There are three talc mines in this area; the Pleasanton mine, the Monarch mine and the Moorehouse mine. We visited the Pleasanton Mine and saw the loading dock with an ore chute, an inclined shaft with a wooden head frame, and two tunnels. We were able to enter one of the tunnels to get deep inside the mine. The hike was 7 miles long and had an elevation gain of about 1000 feet. Here is a link to a video of the nearby Moorehouse Mine. https://youtu.be/fEJ5x5kV6EY

Tecopa Trip Part IV
In this final segment we visit Ibex Springs. The name of Ibex carries a lot persistence in the south end of Death Valley, a mountain, a peak, some hills, two passes and a spring just 9 miles north of Saratoga Springs. Frank Denning and Stanley Miller first used the name for their Silver-copper mine in 1881 on the east slopes of Black Mountain. In May of 1882 they sold the mine to Reverend Calvin A. Poage, the publisher of the San Francisco Occindent, "The Presbyterian Weekly of the Pacific". Poage paid a lump sum of $48,000 for the mine and by fall had eighteen Chicagoans just ready to jump on the bandwagon. They form the Ibex Mining Company, a corporation with $1 Million in capital. After driving an 80 feet shaft with ore that assayed $300 a ton, they set up a little five-stamp mill down below at Ibex Springs. The mill was up and running in May of 1883, but the rebellious ores cause a need for a roasting furnace which came the following year. Problems arose with the strain on wood and water, and the Death Valley record heat cause them to shut down in the summer. But whenever they got enough ore, wood and water, the little mill could turn out $60,000 in bullion a month. With their persistent seasonal runs for the next seven years, they may or may not have got their money back before they finally quit in 1889. The buildings now left here at Ibex Springs are the result of Talc mines operated in the area from the 1930's until the mid 1960's. Part of this story is from Robert Wynn's website. http://www.robertwynn.com/IbexSprings.htm This was the last of the exploring for this trip. There is still much to see at Ibex Springs and in Tecopa itself. I will be returning for sure.

charcoal kilns, near Death Valley CA
In 1877 George Hearsts Modock Consolidated Mining Company completed construction of the charcoal kilns in Wildrose Canyon. The charcoal produced by the kilns was to be used as fuel for two silver-lead smelters that Hearst had built in the Argus Range 25 miles to the west. The kilns operated until the summer of 1878 when the Argus mines, due to deteriorating ore quality, closed and the furnaces shut down.

Glenwood Springs | Idaho Springs | Georgetown Loop Railroad
Glenwood Springs | Idaho Springs | Georgetown Loop Railroad Glenwood Springs, a city with a total area of less than 5 square miles, is a further 2 hours east towards Denver along the I-70 and about 150 miles west of Denver. Three and a half million gallons a day at a constant temperature of 120 degrees pour from the natural hot springs which are the largest natural hot springs in the world. The hot spring pools are the big attraction here, one measuring 400 feet by 100 feet with water of 90 degrees, and a smaller therapy pool with water of 104 degrees. The Iron Mountain Tramway carries visitors up the mountain for a tour of the caverns, hike along the half mile long Panoramic Trail for fantastic views over the Rockies and the Colorado River, pan for gemstones at Discovery Rock or try horse riding on a one hour trail through roaring Fork Valley. The Colorado Wranglers offer a family friendly show, which include a chuck wagon supper and a western musical comedy show at Glenwood Caverns Adventure Park in Glenwood Springs. White water rafting and fly fishing are just two of the many activities on offer in Glenwood Springs. Georgetown Loop Railroad is still further east past the ski resorts of Vail and Aspen, and offers tourists a scenic and historic train ride around the mountains. Steam driven engines and old fashioned carriages add to the thrill. The beauty of the rugged Rocky Mountains surrounds you as an old-time steam locomotive or a powerful diesel locomotives winds up the Clear Creek canyon, hauling your train past the remains of several gold and silver mines. Both fully enclosed and open cars give a breath taking view of everything along the line. Board from the Silver Plume Depot or Devils Gate Station in Georgetown. There is a full program of activities to choose from throughout the year, such as 4th July Fireworks train, Moonlight in the mountains Dinner Train, Wine Tasting Train, Pumpkin Festival Train and Santas Polar Adventure Trains. There is a lovely tourist information store in Georgetown. Idaho Springs is the birthplace of the Rocky Mountain gold rush 33 miles west of Denver, visit the gold mine to pan for gold and visit the gold-mining museum. In nearby Miner Street, walk along the wooden sidewalks and visit the quaint shops for souvenirs, see the preserved steam train with carriages, or cross under the I-70 to visit the large waterwheel with tumbling cataracts. South of town, drive the highest paved road in North America and head to the top of Mount Evans, one of Colorado's tallest mountains. The road starts off at 8,700 feet, rising to 14,240 feet at the summit. The temperature cools accordingly, if its 90 in Denver it will be more like 40 degrees at the top of Mount Evans. Idaho Springs is also near Golden Gate State Park with stunning views of the continental divide, and within an hour's drive of six of the state's most famous ski resorts. Dozens of other recreation spots are also near these 12,000 acres of dense forest, rocky peaks, and aspen-rimmed meadows laced with miles of trails awaiting the hiker, horseback rider, mountain biker and winter sports enthusiast. Camp with electrical hook-ups and tent-sites in two different campgrounds, stocked fishing ponds, picnic sites and the Panorama Point Scenic Overlook where visitors can see 100 miles of the Continental Divide. In winter, visitors can go cross-county skiing, snowshoeing, sledding, ice fishing and ice skating. -~-~~-~~~-~~-~- Friends, it’s now time to ask you a favour, a BIG favour. Microeconomics - Chapter 05: Externalities, Environmental Policy, and Public Goods
As we talk of Externalities in this chapter, we address examples centered right here in Idaho. We will learn about both positive and negative externalities and what that means both from an economics standpoint, and from what has become a monumental human health problem. We are headed to the Silver Valley of Idaho, up the Coeur d’Alene River through Kellogg and Wallace, Idaho. A few details are needed for us to really get into these discussions about externalities. First, they are called spill-over effects by some because their impacts are not anticipated by some market participants and because they become the ones left holding the bag. Or in this case, the ones who end up paying for the costs of the negative things happening from somebody else’s production and consumption.

Many homeowners before buying a home have problems with their credit score. It is always about how much do you pay the minimum about credits and loans each month. However, the new system of credit scores will check under microscope how much you pay. Paul Oster believes that the problem is that the consumers don’t know about it. Ontime payments won't be good enough anymore. This new credit scoring system is called Trending credit data and is going into affect June 25th. The first to do will be to identify the largest mortgage lenders in the nation. Financial expert Paul Oster says how incredible this tracking system will go into your history. Grantsville Nevada - Part 8 "The Union Mining District"
The Union Mining District was this towns only mining district and most of it took place in this narrow canyon you see in the clip. Prior to it being a part of the Grantsville Mine a later boom brought in by the Alexander Company mined the Brooklyn, Silver Palace, Great Eastern and Alexander Mines. Much of what remains are water tanks, ore chutes and remnants of the mill nearby that processed the ore.
